Counseling Center
Mental health has a direct impact on academic success, and it is important to cultivate practices that support emotional well-being. The Counseling Center at Georgia Southern University provides services and programs to help students manage everyday challenges and support their personal growth. Services include individual and group therapy, Emotional Wisdom, Sleep Clinic, and Mindful Yoga.
Health Services
Physical well-being is essential to maintaining overall health. Health Services helps students stay healthy through annual checkups, vaccinations, and illness care provided by licensed medical staff. Additional services include optometry, physical therapy, psychiatry, and an on-campus pharmacy.
Campus Recreation & Intramurals (CRI)
CRI offers students a wide range of opportunities to be physically active and socially engaged. Programs include fitness, aquatics, intramurals, group fitness, Southern Adventures, club sports, shooting sports, and golf—available at the RAC, Student Recreation Center, University Park Golf Course, and the Shooting Sports Education Center.
Leadership & Community Engagement
Develop leadership skills and give back to the community through programs like Serve912, the Student Leadership Conference, and Alternative Breaks. This office provides opportunities to build relationships, learn new skills, and make a difference on and off campus.
Student Activities
Building a sense of belonging is key to college success. Student Activities offers events and engagement opportunities through the University Programming Board and other student-focused experiences.
Dean of Students
The Dean of Students office advocates for students and helps them navigate stressful or challenging situations, including grief, housing insecurity, safety concerns, and more. They also support students with faculty communication when needed.
Eagle Dining
Nutrition is vital for well-being. Eagle Dining offers healthy meals across campus, including salads, lean proteins, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. The “No Whey” station at Dining Commons supports students with dietary restrictions and allergies.
Career & Professional Development Services
Career Services supports students preparing for life after graduation with resume help, career counseling, mock interviews, personality assessments, and more.
Academic Success Center
Academic performance boosts confidence and reduces stress. The Academic Success Center offers tutoring, workshops, study strategies, and peer mentoring. Peer mentors are trained in well-being to help students thrive academically.
Student Accessibility Resource Center (SARC)
SARC ensures equal access for students with disabilities through accommodations, testing services, and advocacy. They support students in achieving their academic goals with inclusivity in mind.

Cultural inclusion and equity are core to student well-being. The Office of Multicultural Affairs promotes diversity education and celebrates the cultural backgrounds of all students, faculty, and staff at Georgia Southern.
